Whether you’re the MOB, MOH, or just a trusty bridesmaid, it is ESSENTIAL that someone has an emergency kit for the special day. I can’t tell you how many horror stories I’ve heard about last minute dirt stains or tears in the bride’s dress, lack of lipgloss crises, and more. Here are all of the things I’ve found necessary in my experience and digging!
First of all, you need a cute bag for all of this stuff. A personalized one is extra cute, I love the pop of color like these ones but Etsy has adorable bridal ones too.

- Stain Remover
This is a non-negotiable in the kit. Tide sticks are the most reliable in my opinion, but anything that can quickly eliminate any stains from food, drink, dirt etc… will do.
- Sewing Kit

This tiny little kit is so cute and would fit in a little pouch. Imagine the bride tugs her dress on a stick or something during photos? Always have a backup plan and pray that someone can sew.
- The Bride’s lipgloss of choice
Hopefully the bride’s lipstick and liner are reliable enough and you can just bring along the gloss layer (if there is one) for touch ups, remember this can be for the bridesmaids too! Make sure you remember to touch her up in between photos especially after sharing a kiss with her partner.
- Travel sized perfume
Try to get a travel sized version of the bride’s wedding day perfume or just bring the bottle along if it’s small enough. With all the photos and stress your bride will likely be sweating so discreetly spritzing her whenever you get the chance will make a life of a difference!
- Mints
Get your bride some Altoids or Lifesavers to keep her smelling fresh especially after eating dinner and hugging and chatting with guests all day! Just stay away from gum.
- Oil blotting sheets

These are essential for all members of the bridal party, the boys too! Again with the sweating, everyone will benefit from a little oil blot here and there. This will avoid shiny faces in photos and makeup melting off the face especially in warm weather.
- Blister Protection

Here are a couple different protections from blisters for the bride or bridesmaids. We know style > comfort so sometimes we have to suffer in our shoes. But, this balm provides a thick layer between those uncomfortable shoes and your skin and in case that’s not enough, pack these bandages too and save the day.
- Ring Cleaner

I LOVE this ring cleaning pen. It’s super convenient and small and is the perfect last minute touch up for your bride! Just give her gorgeous ring a swipe at the start of the day and watch it shine in all the pictures.
- TISSUES
You absolutely need to have tissues on you. For yourself and for the bride, we cannot have any makeup mishaps!
- Deodorant
Deodorant is another absolute must for your bride’s touchups. She needs to be smelling good especially with all of those hugs she’ll be giving! Just grab a little travel sized one and sneak away to the bathroom whenever you can for a re-application.
Now of course there are some other things you will find on other checklists but I have found that most things don’t actually get used. You could bring bobby pins, hairspray, fashion tape, tweezers, etc.. but I don’t find those things to be necessary as long as you have a good hairdresser and makeup artist or you trust in your own skills! You don’t want to need a bag so big you can’t carry it around for most of the morning at least.
